there's going to be a heartache tonight. that's the word on the street or rather the word from the band playing on the roof of a building on my street. i live on the 23rd floor. my apartment overlooks the aforementioned roof and there is some sort of shindig going on with lots of people, fake grass, a number of small white tents and an inflatable something or other. the speakers are so loud that they may as well be in my apartment. btw whoever has raffle ticket 5593310 has 10 seconds to go and collect their prize. ps melinda dahlink can you check with ian and enlighten me about this.

"The British Columbia Human Rights Tribunal has upheld a sex discrimination complaint by a 22-year-old nightclub server who was forced out of her job after refusing to wear a bikini top to work. The Tribunal ruled that the bar's bikini dress code constituted a discriminatory condition of employment, and awarded the server $2,917.97 in lost wages plus an additional $3,000 for injury to her dignity, feelings and self-respect."
i wish someone would try and make me wear a bikini top for work.

one of the consultants i work with constantly jingles the change in his pocket. it drives me nuts. he has just been at my desk chatting and all the while he was noisily fingering his change. i could barely concentrate on what he was saying because all i could think about was slapping him.
