after work we picked up some pizza and pop and headed to the beach for a picnic. we found a cosy spot behind a large log and settled down to watch the sailing boats and seagulls. later, after i had fed and watered and read a couple of chapters of my book, i fell asleep. it was so peaceful. then some bastard, who was probably showing off in front of the ladies, aimed a frisbee at my ass and i was awoken by a plastic spank. sometimes i can't help thinking that kids, dogs and frisbees should always be left at home!

most of the women where i work reapply their make-up at least a couple of times a day. i see them in their offices with their little make-up bags and tiny mirrors. i live with the delusion that my make up is industrial strength and will only come off with an acid peel, and therefore reapplication is an unnecessary chore for me. however, a couple of weeks ago someone told me that i had mismatching eyeshadow. since then i've been slightly paranoid about my make-up. every morning i make the CG look at me and tell me that i look fine and then i check myself every hour or so to make sure that i'm still a picture of perfection (please note the sarcasm in my fingers). yesterday two people independently told me that my make-up looked great. i can now go back to not giving a toss about how i look. thank god for that.
