my current favourite occupation is staring at my stomach and watching it rise and fall in strange patterns as baby G wriggles around. there can't be too much room in there anymore, which probably explains why it's sometimes uncomfortable when she does her gymnastics, but she's definitely making the most of it.
my midwife told me that the less stressful the pregnancy, the lower the chance of a child having depression in later life. i have to be honest and say that up until a couple of weeks ago things were really quite stressful. however, now we have moved i feel totally different. i'm more relaxed than ever and i wake up feeling very very happy every day (helped by the disney-type birdsongs i can hear from the garden). i hope the baby takes this into account.
one of the ways that this happiness has manifested itself is in my increased passion for cooking and baking. i guess it helps that i'm not working and that i have a great kitchen to prepare food in but i prefer to think that it's all to do with my chipper mood. i'm not one for using recipes. i prefer to scan a few on the internet and then have a bash at something myself, using ingredients i prefer, methods that suit me better and a small pinch of common sense. so far things have worked out very well and i'm pretty impressed with my cooking, considering i'm english!
