it's lizzie's last day at work today. although she'll be back (eventually...she'll be on maternity leave for the next 12 months) it's going to be very strange without her, especially since neither diana nor karina are here any more. whose office am i going to head towards every time someone pisses me off? anyway we are going to the keg for a lunch time celebration. i hate big work get-togethers like this. i always feel like such a spaz when i'm with proper people and i usually just sit there quietly or i talk too much.
for those who have been sitting on the edge of their seats waiting to hear how many people have accepted our drinks and nibbles invites, i can advise you that so far there are 10 definites (12 if ian and i don't decide to abandon the apartment and head to a bar to avoid the crush). we have seating for 7 in the living room and then there is standing room in the (tiny) open plan kitchen plus you could fit about 5 cozy people in the see-through den. of course we are still waiting for 14 people (plus guests) to respond and i have to ask a few people too. would it be rude to ask people to lose some weight before they come?
