everything is ok

yesterday baby G didn't sleep at all during the day, today she has barely been awake. some days she eats like she has been starved, other days we have to initiate the feeding to make sure she is getting enough. we look for patterns in her behaviour to tell us that everything is ok but there are no patterns. being a parent is not an easy responsibility.
today we received a letter from the ultrasound department at RUH. in the days before G was born, when i was being monitored in hospital, they did a scan and found a cyst on her right kidney (something i could have done without considering everything else we were dealing with at the time). anyway, they need to do another one on her now she is out in the world, so we will be back in the hospital on June 2. i have to believe that it is nothing and that everything is ok.
