It took 2 hours to get G to sleep last night but she rewarded us for our patience by sleeping through until 8am for the first time in 2 months. I'm not crazy enough to believe that this is the start of lots of blissful sleep for us all but it would be a nice surprise if it was. Not that I'm complaining about Gs current sleeping pattern. I know it could be so much worse. We had 4 months of super sleep at a time when I really needed it so getting up a couple of times a night to pop a dummy back in is no big deal. I know other people who have barely had one full night of sleep since their 9 month baby was born.
I'm feeling very lucky today. I got a lovely parcel of clothes for G from my parents. I have a wonderful husband who is buying me a Cath Kidston bag to use as carry on luggage for our trip to Vancouver, which is going to be a great vacation - I can hardly wait. And I have the best baby in the world who is currently trying to nibble on my fluffy slippers and giggles every time I tickle her tummy with my foot.
