it's hard to do an update a) because i just don't have time (babies are 24 hour creatures) and b) because there is so much to write about that i never know where to start.
G is sleeping right now, in her moses basket, in a room that i am not sitting in and i am not rushing in every 5 minutes to make sure she is still breathing. i even managed to have a shower, put on some washing and empty the dishwasher. this is progress. except for a dodgy patch yesterday afternoon and evening things have been going surprisingly well. in fact, the cg and i have been wondering if we are missing something because all our friends told us the first few weeks are absolute hell. even in my less than 100% condition after the c-section i'm not finding it particularly demanding. of course we haven't yet dealt with big journeys out of the house. the idea of doing that is a little scary mainly due to G's inability to be consistant where breast feeding is concerned. sometimes she's fine, sometimes she screams blue murder. i wish we could get this sorted.
