all the doctors and midwives have kept telling me that having a c-section is major surgery and that you shouldn't do anything other than rest to help recovery. i'm not disagreeing, i'm just amused by the fact that they say this and then hand you a 6-9lb baby for which you have 24 hour responsibility.
an easy way to tell my birth story would be to post a copy of my birth plan and then tell people to ignore the whole thing and imagine i had written the exact opposite. the only bit of my birth plan which i ended up following was the bit in italics at the bottom where i stated that my wishes were not set in stone and i was prepared to be flexible to ensure the safety of myself and the baby. i will get around to telling my (or rather Georgia's) story but i'm still too tired to relive it all and sleeping seems a better use of my time right now.
