i love the vogue. it's not tiny but it's an intimate venue and it has red velvet seats that remind me old time movie theatres. after a few hours the seats hurt my bum but it's always worth it. eddie was definitely worth it tonight. when it was all over and we were walking the few blocks home the CG asked "so what did you think? you laughed a lot". the silly thing is that it wasn't the fact that he was hilariously funny that had me feeling so good, it was the way he was so familiar to me that it was like seeing an old friend (with new fake boobs). sometimes living in canada makes me feel lost and alone. hearing people really speaking my language reminds me that i'm not.

i'm listening to radiohead to get myself all psyched up for the gig at thunderbird stadium tomorrow night. i'm in a musical slump at the moment but i'm always up for a live radiohead fix. we once again have zone tickets so we'll be up front which is cool because i'm not a big fan of stadium gigs. i prefer a bit of musical intimacy.
i wish i remembered the radiohead gig i went to at ULU about 10 years ago but i got in on the guestlist through a friend and i spent more time handing out fliers for his band than checking out the stage. what a fucking shame.
