my baby girl has started walking. i'm not sure who is more excited about this, her or me. she hasn't quite mastered the solo walk but she loves toddling along holding one of our hands. it's very cute. she's also expanded her vocabulary quite extensively, adding words like "granddad", "cat", "tickle" and "up and down".
G had her first birthday a couple of weeks ago. we had the whole (immediate) family (12 adults and 5 children) to stay for the weekend to celebrate this milestone. it made for a busy weekend but it was well worth it to get everyone together from around the country. G wore a party frock and had a whale of a time hanging out with her cousins.
after successfully ordering a swimsuit online at bravissimo (having never bought any item of clothing online before), i finally decided to get myself a sports bra so i can start running again. i spent a fortune on clothes and shoes this week and was pleased to find that i can fit into a smaller size. this was enough to kick-start my interest in getting fit again.
