when i saw a midwife last week she measured my bump at 30cm which is very small for 35 weeks pregnant. she told me to talk to the doctor about it. yesterday i was measured by the doctor to make sure everything was ok and she told me i was 36cm and she told me everything was progressing normally. today i saw another midwife and she took one look one look at the doctors notes and said "so you are having a big baby then?". after all these conflicting measurements/opinions i'm beginning to wonder exactly what is going on inside me. i'm also a little concerned about people throwing around the c word (that's c-section). no-one has even brought up the notion of me having a c-section so far but the last couple of days it has been mentioned twice in connection with my height and complications if the baby is a little on the large side. have i mentioned how much i really don't want to have a c-section. i want a quick, easy and pain-free normal birth thank you very much! anyway, it's all up in the air at this point so there's no use speculating. the baby will come one way or another.
