i've been so friggin busy with the new job that i haven't had time to update and frankly i've been making and un-making decisions at such a rapid pace that anything i wrote would be out of date by the time anyone read it.
so it turns out that the new people i work for aren't the scary bastards that everyone made them out to be. in fact i've never worked for a bunch of people who say thank you as much as these guys do. i've already had to tell one guy to stop thanking me every time i do anything for him because i already get thanked quite nicely with money twice monthly. in fact i got my first pay slip today and although i've already spent most of it i'm pretty pleased with my new salary. the CG just got a hefty bonus and pay rise too. they want to make him a director next year. for someone who says that money isn't everything i'm feeling pretty damn comfortable with the knowledge that we are doing rather nicely thank you.
tomorrow we are booking flights home for christmas. we hadn't planned to head back to the motherland this year but with all the decisions and undecisions we've been making lately it seems to be the right thing to do and since we already have US$600 each in flight vouchers it's not going to cost us much.
