it's amazing how different the world looks after a good night's sleep. it's been just over a week since we returned to the uk and G finally seems to be settling down again. the cg told me that it's supposed to take a day for every hour difference so we are right on track. last night was the first night since we got home that G has spent the whole night in her own cot and has not needed to be fed during the night. it was a nice surprise waking up this morning and seeing 8.26am on the digital clock display. I can see G's cot from where I lie in bed and she had just woken up and started shuffling around picking up various toys. she saw me watching her and climbed up the side of the cot and started jumping up and down. i love that. i love how excited she is to see me.
we had another lovely day today. in the morning i drove us to the supermarket (yey me for getting my ass in the car and driving!) - it's amazing how much less boring the supermarket is when you have a happy child with you (note that i said a "happy" child). in the afternoon G was supposed to be going swimming with daddy but they both still have a bit of a cold so we all went for a walk to the library instead and picked out some books for bedtime reading.
talking of bedtime...
