i've been reading ian fleming's "the spy who loved me" and wondering how the heck they made it into a bond movie. of course, now i realise that they didn't actually make the book into a movie, the only thing they used was the title. i find that quite strange. it's a good book though and not a bad title.
i'm not sure if i've ever mentioned where G's name comes from. i'm not even sure if i've ever called her anything other than G here. Anyway her name is actually Georgia Anastasia. The Anastasia bit comes from my mum but the Georgia bit is from a tv show we used to watch (and not from Georgia Street, Vancouver as one person wondered). The show is dead like me and while we didn't deliberately name her after the main character we did talk, before i even got pregnant the first time, about what a nice name Georgia was. The funny thing is that when we tell people over here where the name comes from they just give us blank stares because the show was never played in the UK. However, despite the show being cancelled ages ago after 2 great seasons, they have now made a movie of it. Hopefully it's a good movie!
