when we returned to england the cg took up a new and annoying habit of snoring. every night we would go through the same routine of me telling him to turn onto his side, then patting him, then slapping him. then suddenly it stopped. i should have appreciated the weeks of silent sleeping more than i did because now he seems to have got a new night-time hobby, shouting in his sleep. a couple of nights ago i made the mistake of cuddling up to him in the early hours of the morning. suddenly he was shouting "get the fuck off me" at the top of his lungs. it turned out that he was having a dream about me trying to lie on top of him when he had bruised ribs. hmmm. anyway last night it happened again. i woke up to find him having an agitated conversation except he was asleep and his words didn't make any sense. finally he shouted out "Oi" so loudly that i wondered if the neighbours could hear him. this time he was dreaming about some kids putting paper through his letterbox. he was trying to tell them off but his mouth wouldn't work properly (which explains why his words were garbled). it took us about 15 minutes to stop laughing before we went back to sleep. amusing as these incidents are, i hope they are short term. i don't want him waking the baby with his outbursts!
