downloading songs from the internet is evil and wrong. at least that's what i think 99% of the time. however, every now and again i reinstall soulseek and go on a download frenzy. i excuse this behaviour in one of three ways: 1) that listening to a song might encourage me to buy the album (i prefer to own a real CD with a real cover); 2) that i would never ever (ever ever) buy the album i'm stealing a song from so it's not like they were going to get my money anyway; or, 3) in the case of the audiobooks i've been thieving, i've already bought the book and bought the movie ("write the feem toon, sing the feem toon") so i think they've had quite enough of my hard earned cash. i'll probably still go to hell for this, an audio hell where you have to listen to incomplete downloads and really bad live versions. so be it.
elizabeth got married on friday. we celebrated with them and some old faces i haven't seen for a while. it was nice. i really have to stop equating marriage with boring.
