yesterday afternoon i couldn't decide if i was more worried about whether i would still be able to squeeze into my extra-small sized boarding trousers or if i would remember how to actually use a snowboard. it turned out that neither of these things were a problem (in fact i could even occasionally breathe in my boarding pants). the only real problem was the weather. serious amounts of fog meant that there was almost zero visibility (it was so bad that i started one run, somehow lost the CG, james, ian and greg and ended up somewhere totally unexpected). plus it was snowing like crazy leaving me with two choices; i could wear my goggles and see nothing but a 70's music video effect or i could go eye-naked and live with tiny shards of ice being thrust into my eyes. on the upside, i didn't fall over once (well except for when i got off a chair lift with a couple of newbies and they dragged me down into their embarrassing heap).
