feeling special

today is my 38th birthday. some days i say that i'm old but today i feel young and happy and loved. i got some beautiful gifts - many of which were from my wonderful husband. he bought me some really nice jewellry - a tissot watch and a silver bracelet. he also bought me a moomin mug (something i have coveted for a long while) from my baby. the best thing he bought me though was a linen bound book of printed photographs of G. it is a truely lovely gift filled with page after page of pictures of G from when she was born to a couple of weeks ago. the book itself is something i will always cherish but what i really love about it is the fact that the cg put so much time and effort into doing this for me (and into keeping it a secret for the last couple of months). in addition to these and other gifts, i also had a wonderful waffle breakfast, and lunch by a lake in the cotswolds with the cg, G and my parents. i feel very special today.
